The production of The Trial of the Chicago 7 was started in Sept 2019. Earlier the movie was planned for the theatrical release on June 20, 2020, but it was delayed by Novel Corona Virus. Now the makers have decided to release this film in limited theatres on Sept 25, 2020. For worldwide, the movie is going to premiere on Oct 16, 2020, only on Netflix.
PLOT FOR ‘THE TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7’
The story of the movie revolves around Chicago 7, a group of anti-Vietnam War protesters of late 1969 and 1970. The film shows their peaceful protest outside the 1968 Democratic Convention which converted into a fatal clash between Chicago 7 and the police officers and the National Guard. The organizers of the protest were charged with a plan to encourage a riot and trial, one of the renowned in history.
