The fans have to wait for a few more weeks to see his latest blockbuster, “Tenet”.

Christopher Nolan’s“Tenet”, the premiere has been pushed back for the third time in a row, for 2 more weeks. The film Tenet is starring John David Washington and Robert Pattinson in it.

“Tenet” is one of the most awaited films of the present time. It is an espionage thriller film, created by Christopher Nolan. Having an approx budget between $200 to $225 million (USD).

At first, the film was scheduled to be premiered on July 17, 2020, in Theatres. Due to the ongoing global pandemic, COVID-19, Warner Brothers Pictures shifted the release date to July 31, 2020. However, the present scenario in the US is is worse, making the theatres to be shut for a few more weeks. Now, “Nolan’s Tenet” will have a theatrical release on August 12, 2020.

Expected reason for the film delay?

The ongoing global pandemic has affected the whole world. Especially, the film industry as the filming and the theatres are at a halt to avoid the spread of the virus. Besides, the only reason behind the film delay is the Coronavirus pandemic, as the theatres will remain shut in the US.

As per sources, Nolan had a discussion with the Wb regarding the film release date. They agreed on making the release shifted to August 8, 2020. Which later postponed to August 12, 2020. The ‘Tenet’ team believed it as a wise move. After the pandemic gets over, the movie will make a huge comeback at the theatres, with a massive profit at the box office. (When the COVID-19 pandemic situation is under control). Towards Director Nolan, this film is much more than commercial viability. He wants this film to be among the world’s first big studio film. As soon as the theatres’ resume.

When will film release in theatres?

The spokesperson of WB said: We have committed to having a theatrical release of the film, ‘Tenet’. The film will be premiered to the viewers on big screens. After the public health officials consider the theatre reopening safe, then the film will release. We have to consider the release date to be flexible.

Besides, the WB has chosen to release the movie in mid-august, to make the audience comfortable in taking their own time. It is a strange, but strong tact.

What was the other plan of Nolan?

Besides ‘Tenet’, the film studio also planned to re-release the decade hit Inception, on its 10th anniversary. Nolan’s Inception is considered as the blockbuster of the decade. Initially, it was planned to release it on July 17, 2020. However, it is now shifted to July 31, 2020.
